Job Overview:
Techsol Life Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Client Partner to drive strategic sales, business development, and client engagement initiatives within our Technology & Data Services Business Unit (BU). This is a senior-level role focused on managing and expanding revenue from key accounts across North America, primarily in the Life Sciences sector (Biopharma and Medical Devices). The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and overseeing the overall health of client relationships. This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring that client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Our Technology & Data Services BU supports the digital transformation of Biopharma and Medical Device companies, providing a range of services such as system integration, cloud platform services, data management, compliance solutions, and validation/assurance across key process verticals including Pharmacovigilance, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Lab, and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Farming:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive account farming strategy to maximize revenue growth from assigned accounts. This includes cross-selling into new domains, managing renewals, and identifying upselling opportunities. Continuously monitor and refine strategies to ensure effective implementation and optimal results.
  • Client Relationship Development:
    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders within client organizations. Become deeply familiar with their business goals, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored solutions and maximize opportunities.
  • Sales Target Achievement:
    Drive the achievement of both short-term and long-term sales targets, including renewals, upselling, and new business. Develop, execute, and refine sales strategies to meet revenue goals while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Pipeline Management & Prospecting:
    Proactively prospect and build a strong pipeline of opportunities through existing accounts, focusing on identifying RFPs and new business opportunities that align with client needs. Manage the sales process from lead qualification to proposal submission, ensuring competitive advantage in terms of timing, budget, and decision-making.
  • Proposal Development & Coordination:
    Lead the proposal development process, working closely with internal teams to create comprehensive and compelling proposals that align with client needs, budget expectations, and timelines. Ensure that the solution proposed addresses client requirements and maximizes value for both parties.
  • Brand Representation & Industry Engagement:
    Represent Techsol Life Sciences at key industry events, conferences, and public meetings to enhance brand visibility and strengthen client relationships. Stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Act as the liaison between the client, internal teams, and external partners. Coordinate closely with delivery teams to ensure seamless service execution and alignment with client expectations. Additionally, manage communications with clients’ accounts payable teams to ensure smooth billing and collections.
  • CRM & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, sales activities, and progress in the CRM system. Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on sales activities, pipeline status, and account health.
  • Leadership & Reporting:
    Report directly to the Head of Sales & Client Partner for North America and Europe, providing regular updates and progress reports. Collaborate with the Business Unit Head and CEO to align on strategic direction and growth objectives.
  • Travel Requirements:
    This position requires up to 40% travel across North America in CY2025, including client meetings, industry events, and strategic engagements.

Job Qualification

  • Experience:
    At least 4 years of proven success in a client partner, sales, or business development role within the Life Sciences sector (Biopharma and Medical Devices). Experience in a services/solutions company that focuses on digital transformation, technology, and data services is essential.

  • Industry Expertise:
    Deep understanding of the Life Sciences industry, including the regulatory landscape, industry challenges, and the technology solutions that drive digital transformation in areas like Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Trials, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing.

  • Sales & Business Development Skills:
    Strong track record of managing and growing accounts, with an ability to identify, nurture, and close upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Experience in developing strategic sales plans and executing them to achieve revenue targets.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Ability to establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers, and provide value-added insights to help clients meet their business objectives.

  • Communication & Presentation Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong negotiation and proposal development skills are required.

  • Technical Acumen:
    Solid understanding of technology services, including system integration, cloud platforms, data management, and compliance solutions, particularly within the Life Sciences space.

  • Education:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
